The 2026 Annual Meeting will be held at the Classic Center in Athens, Georgia, from April 26-30.

Parking is $15 for the day at the Classic Center.

Traveling to Athens

If you are flying, the closest airport is the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) which is roughly 82 miles from the Classic Center. There is a shuttle offered  from the ATL airport to The Classic Center through Groome Shuttle Service. This service is limited. Please reserve your shuttle as soon as your flight is booked.

The shuttle trip from ATL to The Classic Center is 2 hours and 20 minutes and costs $52 each way if you book online ahead of time. ​

Activities and Places to Explore in Athens

• Historic Athens Welcome Center and the Visit Athens events calendar.
• We Let the Dawgs Out!  How many of the 40 Bulldog statues can you find around town?  The more you look, the more you see!
• The State Botanical Garden of Georgia may be reached by Campus Transit.
• The Georgia Museum of Art is located on the UGA campus.

• Feeling spooky?  Join a local historian on a walking tour to explore Athens’ haunted history. 
• Athens is famous for its music scene!  If it’s time you had some time alone, maybe you take a walk (or step down, step down) to check out the Music Walk of Fame honoring Athens musicians such as REM, the B52s, Widespread Panic, and Pylon.  Or roam if you want to, to the famous 40 Watt Club or many other music venues.  May your glass be filled!
