Attention Students: there are a handful of events taking place during the US-IALE Annual Meeting geared specifically for you! Details are listed below.
SUNDAY CITY WALK | Sunday, April 8, 2018 / 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
This is an informal exploration of the downtown area led by US-IALE student representatives and a local host. Get an insiders perspective of this vibrant city, and have an opportunity to meet other student attendees. To express interest in participating in the walk, please email [email protected] to RSVP.
OFFSITE SOCIAL ON MONDAY | Monday, April 9, 2017 / 9:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
Join US-IALE student attendees for a night of socializing with friends new and old. This event will be held at the Emerald Loop Bar & Grill (216 N Wabash Ave, .4 mile, a 9-minute walk from the Palmer House). Proper I.D. will be required for alcoholic beverages.
STUDENT PRESENTATION COMPETITION
Student presenters have an opportunity to compete for the “Best Student Presentation Award.” Students who wish to participate in this competition, must sign up on the conference registration form. Other details and eligibility requirements are posted on the Student Presentation Award section of this website.
STUDENT PRESENTATION FEEDBACK
Students who do not want to participate in the Best Student Presentation Award, can opt to have informal feedback on their oral or poster presentation. Session Host Moderators will be asked to recruit volunteer “judges” at the beginning of the session for oral presentations. For Poster presenters, "review me" signs are used to attract people to give poster feedback. Feedback forms will be provided for the judges and each judge will return the score sheet in a box collected at the Conference Registration Desk. Students can then pick up their forms from conference management.
